Earlier this term, our Year 9 Interfaith Ambassadors took a special trip to St. Monica’s College, embracing interfaith understanding and unity.
As part of our ongoing commitment to interfaith learning, our Year 9 students attended a thought- provoking Interfaith professional dialogue workshop at our interfaith partnership school St. Monica’s College (SMC) in Epping. This workshop gave them a chance to talk about different faiths, promoting friendship and knowledge.
SMC students gave our students a tour of their school. It was a chance for our interfaith ambassadors to see a different school life and make new friends. Light refreshments were served, creating a relaxed atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
One of the best parts was when students from both schools sat in a circle to talk about their beliefs and religious practices. This open conversation helped everyone understand each other better and showed us how we’re more alike than different. These kinds of experiences that make us better citizens of the world, celebrating what makes us unique while finding common ground.
We are grateful to St. Monica’s College for their warm welcome and participation. The visit was a step toward creating a world where we all get along and respect one another’s differences.
