Our Year 10 students pursuing their VET Certificate II in Community Services at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø recently visited Aeralife Northpoint, formerly known as Heritage Aged Care, as part of their subject assessment. This visit provided an invaluable opportunity for students to engage with residents and gain real-world insights into community service.
During their time there, students organised interactive activities, including games and word searches, fostering connections filled with joy and laughter. The residents’ happiness was evident, making the experience truly heart-warming.
Accompanied by a tour of the facility, students learned about Aeralife’s modern architectural design, focused on enhancing residents' well-being. The state-of-the-art living spaces feature bright interiors and stunning views of the wetlands and Edgars Creek Trail.
Overall, the visit to Aeralife Northpoint was not only an academic assessment but also an insightful experience that strengthened the students' resolve to pursue careers in community services by highlighting the importance of compassionate care.
