Al Siraat’s Student Representative Council (SRC) is excited to bring back the "Winter Syria Campaign" for the month of July, in partnership with the Australian Syrian Association Victoria, not for profit organisation.
We would like to make an announcement to the community to utilise this month of dhul hijjah for charity by organising for the following items for displaced people, refugees and people in need of humanitarian aid living in Syria camps.

Items NOT Allowed
- No Sharp or metal objects.
- No Food
- No lollies or chocolates
- No batteries objects
- No glass objects
ALL ITEMS TO BE BRAND NEW
Below are the items requested for Syria Winter Campaign:
Toiletries- Hygienic items
- Toothpaste, toothbrush, bar soaps, cotton tips, comb, shampoo small size, sanitary products, nappies all sizes, creams, wet wipes, laundry powder.
Children’s entertainment items
- Colouring books, colouring pencils, notebooks, basic stationery like pencils, erasers, sharpener, pens, highlighters, play balls, bouncing balls, skipping ropes, puzzles.
Shelter Living: All New items!
- Sleeping bags, blankets all sizes, quilts, bedsheets, camping mattress, bedsheets all sizes, face towels, bath towels and hand towels, prayer mats,
First Aid Kits
- Simple dressings pads, plasters, crutches, cotton balls, arm sling, bandages, disposable gloves, antiseptic creams.
Bulk items are welcome.
SRC is working to make hygiene gift bags which includes face towels, tooth paste, toothbrush, bar soap and comb. The aim is to make 100 or more hygiene gift bags for the people living in Syria Camps.
The ASAV would appreciate a small donation of $5 only to go towards the shipping container costs to Syria. Donations can be deposited at the College, using the reference “SRC Syria21”. If it is not possible for you to go out to the shops and purchase any of the items above, you could also make a financial contribution directly to Ms. Noori or via online donation:
