Our College Captains and two Year 11 student representatives attended the Student Representative Council (SRC) Forum hosted by Al Taqwa College on Tuesday 23 July 2024.
The event also included participation from SRC students and staff from Minaret College, Ilim College, and Australian International Academy.
The forum offered an excellent opportunity for students to connect with their peers from other schools and exchange insights about their roles as SRC members. Throughout the day, various activities and workshops were conducted, all aimed at enhancing the students' skills and knowledge. Our representatives returned with a wealth of new ideas and are excited to apply what they learned during the forum in their SRC roles.
The Islamic Student Representative Council Network offers several key benefits. It plays a crucial role in leadership development by enhancing skills through targeted workshops and activities. The network also facilitates peer networking, allowing SRC members to build connections with their counterparts from other schools.
Additionally, it provides valuable opportunities for experience sharing, where students can exchange insights and learn from one another. Lastly, the network contributes to community strengthening by reinforcing the bond within the Islamic school community.
We extend our sincere thanks to Al Taqwa College for hosting this enriching event and strengthening the SRC Islamic schools’ network.
