Senior students from Years 7 to 9 were part of the inaugural Drama Festival held in the Senior Assembly Hall last Monday, 4 September 2017.
There was much excitement and nervousness as the students prepared to perform in front of an audience, some of them for the first time in their lives. The costumes were colourful and the efforts put into rehearsal and organisation were greatly appreciated.
The subject of the plays ranged from the political allegory of "Animal Farm" to Shakespeare to the comedic, with Year 7’s and 8’s presenting excerpts from the 'Class Act' series. Students still need to gain experience in vocal projection and not turning their backs on the audience.
Overall, the students have had lots of fun preparing for these plays in their English classes. Thank you to those staff who came along to support us.
