Our Year 7/8 and LEAP girls had a fun-filled day at the Melbourne Zoo at last week’s excursion.
The students had the opportunity to observe and learn about animals from different parts of the world as part of their Ecosystems topic for Science. They also acquired more knowledge of threatened species and gained an insight into the important of conservation and the causes and consequences of environmental change.
The girls also developed their inquiry skills by exploring the ethics program by observing the rescued seal, named "Bella" as part of Melbourne Zoo’s Ethical Program.
The students greatly enjoyed their self-guided exploring tour of Melbourne Zoo.
