Congratulations to our Year 6 Debating teams: Mr Marc and the boys have won their last two debates, and Ms Sumayya and the girls have won two debates in a row. Both teams are hoping to progress to the next round of the National Debating Competition.
In their latest debate against St Hurmizd Assyrian Primary School, our Year 6 boys' Debating Team has proudly secured their second victory in an intellectually invigorating contest. Demonstrating their refined debating prowess, the boys successfully navigated the contentious issues presented in the debate, ultimately claiming their second win from just three starts.
Coming into the debate, there was a palpable sense of anticipation, following their initial success and one defeat. Our boys went head-to-head with the competent debaters from St Hurmizd Assyrian Primary School, both sides articulating their perspectives with the utmost conviction. However, our team’s impressive articulation, rebuttal skills, and their ability to stay composed under pressure undoubtedly won the day.
