Our Year 5 boys had an outdoor Science lesson at the Melbourne Zoo on Monday, 5th June 2023. They had the opportunity to observe different animal artefacts and learned about the function and purpose of each part.
The lesson conducted by the friendly Zoo staff was related to the topic of adaptations that our students are learning about in class. Our Year 5 boys were very engaged and listened attentively to the Zoo staff.
After the lesson, the students explored the different parts of Melbourne Zoo to see more animals. They were quick to relate the earlier lessons while observing the various animals along the different trails. The boys even had an additional lesson on naming the animals in Arabic by a parent volunteer.
Alhamdulillah, it was an amazing experience for our students!
