As our Year 4’s embarked on their excursion to Werribee Zoo, the excitement in the air was palpable. Werribee Zoo is renowned for its commitment to conservation and providing an immersive experience that allows visitors to connect with African animals. And it did not disappoint!
The safari tour was a favourite, students boarded an open-air vehicle to explore the African savannah where they encountered majestic creatures such as giraffes, zebras, rhinos and antelopes, up close. The Year 4’s were excited to participate in a hands-on session about the adaptations of animals. Hopefully, this has ignited their passion for wildlife and environmental conservation.
As the day drew to a close, and after performing their Dhuhr prayer, our group left Werribee Zoo with their hearts full of cherished memories and a newfound appreciation for the wonders of the animal kingdom, alhamdulillah!
