We had our very first Positive Parenting session this week with facilitator Jaweria Khalid from the Australian Muslim Women’s Centre for Human Rights (AMWCHR).
We had over 30 women attend the session which focused on a variety of introductory topics relevant to leadership parenting. The session was generously catered by AMWCHR and they also supplied two registered carers to assist with child minding.
The session ended with a craft activity for mums and bubs.
There will be a further 4 Positive Parenting sessions in Term 4, and we encourage mums from the school community and their friends to attend these valuable platforms for learning, sharing and connecting with other women from our community.
