What a lot of laughs took place, all for a worthy cause! During the day of our Art Exhibition on Friday, 6th November, our Year 2 and 4 students organised the highly popular “Get Splat” activity to raise funds to build a well in Somalia. For just $2, students, parents, teaching, administration and office staff all cued up to splat each other!
…especially of our good-natured Principal Mr Houghton, who was ever willing to render his head for a splat, to the eager chants of students… and even parents! “M-I-S-T-E-R Houghton! M-I-S-T-E-R Houghton! M-I-S-T-E-R Houghton!”
Alongside the Splat, we also offered a chance for young lads to transform into handsome men with Bold Beards (using kohl pencils) for just $1, and lasses walked away with Elegant Eyes (using glittery eye shadow). Lucky Dip was also a big hit, which was quickly wiped out within half an hour.
We wish to thank all those who came and supported this worthy cause. We raised $571.10 on the day!
