We are excited to share that one of our very own Year 11 students, Layanne Abou Lebdeh, has made Al Siraat proud by being the first to submit an entry for the inaugural "World Kangaroo Day Short Story Competition".
The organisers from “Kangaroos Alive” shared their delight:
“We were excited to receive our first story for our World Kangaroo Day Short Story Project. "Bindi" is a captivating tale by Layanne Abou Lebdeh, a Year 11 student from 51Թ in Victoria. Our sincere thanks to Mohammed Azim, Head of the English Department, for sharing this talented young writer’s work. Her creativity and storytelling prowess set a high bar for the project, and we're eager to see what other brilliant tales will hop our way.”
Parents, this is a fantastic opportunity for your creative Secondary student over the current term break! Entries closing soon! For more info and ideas, please email info@kangaroosalive.org or contact Mr Mohammed Azim.
