This week marked the launch of our much-anticipated Ottoman Archery Program, attended by over 50 students and facilitated by Archery Ascension.
Despite some light rain, students thoroughly enjoyed developing their archery skills while also learning about its significance within Islamic tradition. The session began and ended with a prayer and included insightful talks throughout, adding a deeper religious and historical context to their practical training.
With three more sessions to go this term, we are excited to continue. The program reached capacity very quickly, so for those who missed out, we look forward to offering more opportunities with Archery Ascension in the future.
This program is proudly supported by the Australian Government’s Community & Cohesion Support Program.
