MashaAllah, students, parents and staff have dug deep to support this year’s "Cover Me" blanket and sleeping bag drive, aimed to supply the homeless with with much needed warmth during the chilly and wet winter weather that has started to set in with very low temperatures expected over the following weeks.
Donations have started to pour in, with the first lot having been picked up volunteers of the Ansaar Project, ready to be passed on to those in need. Alhamdulillah, for the first time in years, we have been able to collect a total of 13 brand new sleeping bags so far , along with many warm blankets and doonas. Sleeping bags are particularly practical for those living on the streets.
Donations can still be dropped off at the Admin Office until Friday, 22nd July 2016.
