The annual Cultural Hi-Tea and Eid event, organised by the Student Representative Council (SRC) and our Year 12 cohort, was a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity and community unity.
The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as Year 12 students and Secondary staff, adorned in cultural and Eid attire, gathered to share traditional foods and experiences. The event served as a delightful culinary journey, showcasing the rich tapestry of culinary heritage within our school community.
Led by the College Captains team – Mohammad, Abdullah, Areeba, and Mariam – the event began with Mohammad's insightful reflection on the significance of cultural appreciation in fostering inclusivity. An engaging quiz followed, offering participants a fun-filled opportunity to test their knowledge of different cultures.
Amidst the festivities, the event provided a warm and welcoming environment. Conversations flowed freely, fostering connections between staff and students as they shared stories and experiences. It was a cherished opportunity for cultural exchange and mutual learning.
In essence, the Cultural Hi-Tea and Eid event represented the values of unity, respect, and appreciation at Al Siraat. It not only celebrated diversity but also strengthened the bonds of the community, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
