Last week on Thursday, students and teachers participated in the WASH Water Day. The aim of the day was to:
To promote awareness of the internationally run WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) program and the importance of water and sanitation facilities (https://www.unicef.org/wash/schools/).
To educate about the importance/privilege of having access to safe water and hygienic sanitation facilities.
To have fun.
Water events were conducted on grass areas that were not watered for two days to balance out water usage. Many students (and teachers) had a great time during the event which may look to become an annual event.
