Al Siraat participated at the Annual Maths Association Victoria (MAV) "Maths Games Day" on 6 September 2023. Two teams, comprising both boys and girls from Year 8, proudly represented the College at this prestigious event hosted at PEGS (Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School) in Keilor East.
The Maths Games Day, an eagerly awaited annual event, provided an exceptional platform for our students to showcase their mathematical proficiency and enhance their critical thinking skills. Collaborating with like-minded peers from various schools, they investigated into captivating problem-solving challenges and engaging mathematical games carefully designed to align with the Australian Curriculum proficiency strands.
This day was not only about learning but also about fostering interdisciplinary skills and enjoying the process. Our teams had an unforgettable and highly productive day, reinforcing their passion for mathematics and the joy of collaborative learning.
