During Numeracy Week, our Year 7 to 12 students were involved in numerous activities around numeracy.
In class, they played various games such as giant Jenga, giant connect four, giant checkers, giant dominoes, master mind and various card games. Students were all engaged during the games session using their mathematical ability to play the best at the game they were competing in. They also played a version of a maths quiz show, “t’s Academic”, where they answered various maths questions competing against other teams. They also played Letters and Numbers like the SBS TV show.
Students showed their mathematical ability to try and solve the mathematical problems. During lunchtime they could play the giant games as well as playing darts. The students were very engaged during these activities. We would like to thank the Secondary Maths staff who gave up time during their classes to run the set activities.
