While Book Week 2022 has now drawn to a close this afternoon, we invite you to look back with us on the past five days of truly wonderful celebrations across Primary School of all things reading, creativity, story telling and imagination.
We started Book Week with our fun and fabulous Book Character Parade on Monday, followed by a wide range of engaging activities that involved a special story time with guest staff readers from across all College departments, wall displays of students' reading and book journeys, outdoor games, a new spoon village full of creative wooden characters and so much more.
We also had the annual Scholastic Book Fair which was housed for the very first time inside our auditorium, allowing students more space to browse around the books, posters and stationery items on display.
On today's Friday, our youngest students in Foundation to Year 2 were invited to some down and quiet time when they arrived in their PJs with a cuddly soft toy in their hands and their favourite storybook tugged under their arms. It was a befitting finish to end a fun-filled week.
In our fast paced lives, Book Week provided a much needed reminder for children and adults alike, of the positive and influential impact that books and stories have on our lives. Alhamdulillah for everything.
