Our Ilm Department hosted the Semester 1 ILM awards ceremony on Friday, 5th July 2024.
Shafiqah & Zainab Mohammad from Ilm level 2 expertly mc'ed the function in Arabic, followed by an English translation. The official program commenced with a beautiful recitation of the Quran from surah Al Hujurat by Aminah Ahmad from Ilm level 2, followed by a role play by the Ilm girls about the “Adab of a student of knowledge”. Each student shared a saying of the scholar, verses from the Quran, Hadith of the Prophet Mohammad (s.a.w).
The program continued with a first game hosted by Ustadhah Hafsa where Ustadh Mohammad was given the opportunity to pop balloons on students for incorrect answers. Students greatly enjoyed the game and had lots of fun before Fatimah Sulaiman from Ilm level 1 took to the stage to give a speech in Arabic on “Akhlaq ul mumin”.
Another game was once more hosted by Ustadhah Hafsa. Students had fun and won prizes for correct answers. Ilm teachers Ust Zain and Ust Mohammad were also invited to participate, with Sheikh Waseem popping balloons filled with confetti on them for wrong answers. The audience then heard a speech by students Zaid Omer & Yousuf Mohammad from Ilm level 4 on “The amazing Arabic language”.

Highest Achievers from Ilm level 1:
- Shahim Mohammad (92.5%)
- Hamdan Mohammad (92%)
- Eshaal Rizwan (91%).
All the above students used their Ilm study hours wisely and completed their work on time, always striving hard to achieve highest results and never wasting time. MashaAllah.

- Shafiqah A`ishah Baswedan (94%) - a student with the highest mark in all Ilm students with outstanding adab and akhlaq
- Muawia Ibrahim (79.5%)
- Ghaisah Khan (78.9%)

- Mohamed Mabrok (Ilm level 2)
- Rihlah Hassan (Ilm level 5).
The program ended with special speeches by Principal Mr Fazeel and Sheikh Waseem who shared words of wisdom for all students followed by the closing du'a from our Hifz students.
